Local Air Duct Cleaning
Contractor Awarded Certification Credential
In an effort to enhance consumer protection and provide air
quality assurance to the public, the Washington, DC-based National Air Duct
Cleaners Association (NADCA)
Held it’s certification examination for certified ventilation system
inspectors.
Local contractor Justin Mattoon of B&F Power Vac is a “Certified
Ventilation System Inspector” (CVI). The CVI designation recognizes the
knowledge and understanding of various HVAC components and systems and the
proper methodology for conducting a comprehensive inspection that meets the
intent of NADCA’s standard for the Assessment, Cleaning and Restoration of
HVAC Systems (ACR)
Justin has just been awarded among a select group of professionals
the “Ventilation System Mold Remediator” (VSMR), in March 2008. The
VSMR designation recognizes comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the
proper assessment and remediation procedure for microbial growth, which
occurs in HVAC systems. Ventilation system mold remediation specifically
addresses cleaning and removing biological contaminants within an HVAC
system.
The NADCA Certification Program helps to ensure that members of the
association possess the required knowledge and expertise to perform these
services in a competent and professional manner.
NADCA is the only national association representing the commercial,
residential, and industrial air duct cleaning industry. NADCA’s 900+ members
companies include the highest quality contractors in the world.
